Job Description
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work

n this we are seeking an experienced RegionalGallery Curator to join
n our Glasshouse team. The
n successful candidate will provide leadership and creative direction for the
n Glasshouse Regional Gallery, ensuring effective stewardship of Council's art
n collection and the delivery of a diverse, high-quality exhibition and events
n program that engages the community and enhances the region's cultural profile.
n
To succeed in this
n role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Visual Arts, Fine Arts,
n Arts Management, Museum Studies or a related discipline, along with extensive
n experience in a comparable role within a gallery, museum or cultural institution.
n You will bring demonstrated expertise in exhibition development, curation, and
n collection management, supported by robust leadership capability and experience
n delivering both strategic and operational outcomes.
n
To succeed
n in this role you will have:
n
n
- Demonstrated expertise in exhibition development, curation, design and collection management within a gallery or cultural institution.
n
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience mentoring and developing staff and volunteers.
n
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, present and work effectively with diverse audiences, artists and partners.
n
- Thorough knowledge of gallery operations, including relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and industry standards in NSW.
n
- Proven ability to plan and deliver exhibitions, events, workshops, and public program initiatives that drive participation and audience growth.
n
- Strong financial, analytical and strategic skills, with experience managing budgets, using data to inform decisions, and fostering partnerships with cultural organisations and funding bodies.
n
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

On a
n typical day this role will:
n
n
- Lead and manage the planning, programming and delivery of the GlasshouseRegional Gallery's annual exhibition and events program.
n
- Curate exhibitions and develop engaging artistic, cultural and educationalprograms for diverse community and school audiences.
n
- Oversee day-to-day gallery operations, ensuring compliance with industrystandards and best practice.
n
- Manage and care for Council's art collection in accordance with policy andprofessional standards.
n
- Build strong relationships with artists, cultural organisations, governmentand funding partners, while seeking grant funding, sponsorship and partnershipopportunities.
n
- Collaborate across teams and lead staff and volunteers to enhance visitorexperience, while monitoring visitation, feedback and financial performance todrive continuous improvement and audience growth.
n

Remuneration and Benefits
n
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per
n week
n
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $101,015 to $113,067depending on skills and experience
n
