Assignment: 19 August 2026 – 18 December 2026 (Possible Extension)

Rate: $70.27 - $76.24 per hour + Super

We are seeking an experienced AO5 Public Relations Officer to join a leading Queensland education provider on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a communications professional with strong media, stakeholder engagement, content creation, and event management experience.

The Role

n

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, you will play a key role in supporting reputation management, media relations, community engagement, and promotional activities. You will develop high‐quality communications materials and coordinate events that strengthen stakeholder engagement and organisational visibility.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Develop and implement public relations and communication strategies.
n
- Provide advice on media management, public consultation, and community engagement initiatives.
n
- Research and create high‐quality written content including media releases, speeches, advertorials, social media content, and marketing collateral.
n
- Coordinate and project manage promotional activities, open days, events, and campus functions.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
n
- Support the delivery of public relations and promotional plans across the region.
n




- Engage effectively with industry, business, community, and media representatives.
n
- Promote a culture of safety, wellbeing, sustainability, and accountability.
n

About You

n

n
- Previous experience in public relations, communications, media, or social media roles.
n
- Proven success developing communication plans and media strategies that support organisational objectives.
n
- Robust project management experience delivering events and promotional activities within budget and timeframe.
n
- Exceptional written communication skills with experience producing content across print, digital, and social media channels.
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, consultation, and relationship management skills.
n
- A proactive, adaptable, and solutions‐focused approach with the ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment.
