THE POSITION

n

Auto Corner is offering the unique opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Used Vehicle Buyer/Appraiser to help drive growth and profitability within our vehicle sales departments.

n

This role offers the successful applicant a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of vehicle trades while being responsible for appraisals, purchasing and all wholesale activity.

n

Our ideal candidate will be a positive person who is committed to aligning used vehicle sales activities with the broader business plan, and most importantly having a genuine desire to grow with the business.

We are looking for someone who is capable of managing the following:

n

n
- To accurately value and assess trade in vehicles for customers purchasing a new or used car.
n
- Liaising with fleet customers to assess fleet trades.
n




- Monitoring sales and product strategies, campaigns and events to optimise market share.
n
- Understanding the customer's objectives, buying criteria and decision making processes, and forming long term business partnerships.
n
- Ring auctions and other wholesalers to determine their interest in purchasing a vehicle deemed a wholesale sale.
n
- Correctly complete valuation forms and associated paperwork
n
- Assessing if vehicles have been in an accident.
n

Our ideal candidate will have:

n

n
- Excellent knowledge of and experience in appraising vehicles
n
- Experience with sales processes and selling techniques
n
- Experience within the Automotive industry is essential
n
- Demonstrated high level mechanical knowledge including panel, parts and accessories
n
- Solid understanding of vehicle models and the specifications of each model
n
- Experience in attending auctions and purchasing vehicles
n
- Demonstrated current knowledge with market value prices
n
- Proactive forward thinker with excellent planning and organisational skills
n
- Strong customer focus and the ability to communicate effectively
n
- Ability to profile customer needs
n
- Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and automotive DMS systems
n
- A current Queensland Motor Dealer's Licence is required at all times
n
- Must hold a current unrestricted driver's licence
n
