SAG Workforce is seeking an experienced and adaptable Accounts Officer to join our growing team. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently manage high-volume invoicing, and has a solid understanding of general accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

- Process a high volume of customer and supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
n
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
n
- Complete invoice reconciliation and resolve discrepancies
n
- Assist with debtor follow-up and account enquiries
n
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
n
- Support general accounting and month-end processes
n
- Assist with payroll processing when required
n
- Work closely with project managers and operational teams to ensure accurate job and cost allocation
n

About you To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:nn
- Previous accounts experience within the construction or civil infrastructure industry
n
- Demonstrated experience processing high-volume invoicing
n
- Strong proficiency in Xero
n
- A sound understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general accounting principles
n
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
n
- Confidence communicating with clients, suppliers and internal project teams
n
- A technology-focused mindset and the ability to quickly learn new systems
n
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
n
- Previous payroll experience will be highly regarded
n
