About the role

n

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Draftsperson to join our team in Heatherton, Victoria. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and build practical experience in engineering drafting within a supportive and professional environment.

n

As a Trainee Draftsperson, you will work alongside experienced engineers and designers to assist in the preparation of technical drawings and documentation for a range of projects. You will gain hands‐on experience using industry‐standard drafting software while developing a strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and project requirements.

What you'll be doing

n

Assisting in the preparation and revision of engineering drawings and layouts

n

Supporting project teams with drafting and documentation requirements

n





Learning and applying relevant standards and specifications

n

Maintaining accurate drawing registers and project records

n

Collaborating with engineers and project stakeholders to ensure design accuracy

n

What we're looking for

n

Tertiary Drafting or Engineering Course, or a Basic / Introductory CAD Drafting course desirable.

n

Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read and interpret engineering documents

n

Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit

n

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‐quality work

n

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team

n

A willingness to learn and develop technical skills

n

A positive attitude and strong work ethic
