PJ Welding Pty Ltd is family-owned, located in Newcastle, specialising in mining and industrial maintenance. We currently have openings for qualified boilermakers based between Cardiff & Singleton, with a focus on CHPP operations across various sites. These positions involve the management, maintenance, and repair of surface mining equipment and fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities

- Ability to interpret drawings and perform site marking and setting out tasks
n
- Maintain physical fitness and motivation
n
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
n
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities
n
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
n
- Hold a valid driver's license
n




- Successfully pass medical and police checks
n
- Proven commitment to safe work practices
n
- Fabrication trade qualifications and experience in a heavy industrial or mining environment
n
- Effective communication skills that foster positive interpersonal relations within work teams
n
- Proficient in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings; skilled in marking, cutting with an oxy cutter, grinding, and gouging
n
- Experience in welding across all positions using flux-core, MIG, and stick methods
n
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults efficiently
n
- Coordination in requesting necessary spare parts and parts planning
n
- Capability to identify faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components
n
- Conduct inspections, installations, and maintenance/repairs on equipment
n
- EWP, Forklift, Dogman, and Rigger tickets are highly regarded
n
- Confined Space certification
n
- TRG - Hot Works
n
- First-Aid
n
- Order 45 Pre-placement Medical
