We're now hiring an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team and support the delivery of accurate, compliant and insightful financial information across the business.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the Accountant plays a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, and supporting the effective operation of core finance processes.
n
This is a hands‐on role requiring strong technical accounting capability, attention to detail and the ability to partner with stakeholders across the business.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly cashflow forecasts
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for forecasting processes
n
- Manage the National Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) process, including coordination of annual external audits
n
- Coordinate and respond to external audit requests across the business
n
- Prepare annual financial statements
n
- Manage the closing and capitalisation of CAPEX projects
n
- Complete and review assigned balance sheet reconciliations
n
- Manage banking compliance, including covenant reporting and audit requirements
n
- Act as a subject matter expert on accounting standards and compliance requirements
n
- Ensure compliance and reporting for lease accounting (AASB16)
n
- Administer and oversee pricing updates within SAP
n
- Review and approve supplier credit applications
n
- Support finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business decision‐making
n

About You
n
You are a detail‐oriented and proactive accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring strong analytical capability, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards.

You will bring:
n
n
- Proven experience in an accounting role within a complex business environment
n
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance and financial reporting
n
- Experience in cashflow forecasting, audit processes and financial statement preparation
n
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
n
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP desirable)
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- High level of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
n
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
n
- A continuous improvement mindset and strong sense of accountability
n
- Accounting or business degree (majoring in accounting)
n
- CPA / CA qualification (or working towards)
n
- Experience with SAP or similar large ERP systems
n
n
