We are seeking an experienced and motivated Inclusion Officer to lead the implementation and monitoring of the LGBTIQA+ Action Plan, deliver LGBTIQA+ programs and partnerships, and drive strategic and organisational change to enhance inclusion, safety and equity for LGBTIQA+ communities.
n
About the role
n
The Inclusion Officer - LGBTIQA+ will apply specialist knowledge of LGBTIQA+ rights and inclusive practice. The role will encompass leading strategic plans and organisational change, program delivery and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and providing expert advice to support equitable outcomes for LGBTIQA+ communities.

You will
n
n
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of Council's LGBTIQA+ Action Plan.
n
- Build and maintain partnerships, work collaboratively and engage community in Council's programs and services.
n
- Develop inclusive resources and tools that support the community.
n
- Develop and deliver strategies, programs and events that support the inclusion wellbeing of the LGBTIQA+ community.
n
- Prepare reports on LGBTIQA+ program outcomes,
action plan progress and access improvement activities
n
- Provide specialist advice to Council services on inclusive practice, safe space principles and affirming communications.
n

About you
n
We are looking for:
n
n
- Highly effective community engagement skills, with the ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with LGBTIQA+ community members and representative or advocacy organisations.
n
- Demonstrated experience in delivering LGBTIQA+ inclusion, wellbeing or equality programs, community initiatives or advocacy, or a related field.
n
- Sound knowledge of issues affecting LGBTIQA+ communities, inclusive practice principles, and relevant Victorian and Commonwealth legislation, policies or frameworks.
n
- Proven ability to develop, implement and report on LGBTIQA+ inclusion strategies, action plans, programs or community development initiatives.
n
- Experience in local government or community sector.
n
- Skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to team goals.
n
