About The Role

We are currently looking for a Lawyer /Associate (3+years' PQE) to join our Corporate & Private clients practice groupto work alongside Partners Greg Hipwell and Elizabeth Lilley wholeads our Private Equity Practice in Melbourne. The role willinvolve providing advice across private M&A; matters,negotiating joint ventures and shareholders agreements and generalcommercial advice.

Working with a diverse portfolio of international and Australianclients including private equity, founders, and large private andlisted companies., this role offers the prospect to do complexM&A; work in a supportive and collaborative team. In particular,Maddocks has a significant practice acting for private equity fundsand a key aspect of this role will be for the candidate to workwith Elizabeth Lilley to service their requirements in ourMelbourne office.

About You
n
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experienceina corporate or commercial private practice team.
n
In order to be successful in this role, you will have also have thefollowing skills and experience:

- Strong advisory, drafting and negotiation skills withexcellent attention to detail
n
- Excellent communication skills; ability to deal with adiverse range of clients in differentindustries/backgrounds
n
- Great project management skills and ability to effectivelybuild external and internal relationships
n
- Supervising and mentoring junior members
n
