The Role:

At GenusPlus Group, we're powering Australia's future—delivering innovative, large-scale infrastructure, communication and utility projects across the country. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a detail-driven and experienced Estimatorto join our North Sydney based team.
n
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional to contribute to the success of diverse and high-impact projects in the energy, utilities, communication and construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Analyse project documentation, drawings, and specifications to produce accurate and timely cost estimates
n
- Prepare and manage pre-contract financial, material, labour, and time estimates
n
- Provide input into tender strategy, pricing structures, and bid development
n
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams to gather and verify cost data
n
- Maintain cost databases, supplier directories, and estimating tools
n
- Prepare post-tender documentation including detailed expenditure breakdowns and initial project schedules
n
- Review and maintain the schedule of rates in conjunction with Operations
n
- Ensure quality and consistency in tender submissions across technical, commercial, and financial aspects
n
- Track industry trends, pricing changes, and cost-saving opportunities
n
n
About You:
n
Essential Requirements:
n
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Estimating, ideally within utilities, construction, communication, or related sectors
n
- Demonstrated understanding of Occupational Health & Safety
n
- Current National Police Clearance and a valid "C" Class Driver's Licence
n
- High-level proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
n
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
n
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under strict deadlines
n
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings
n
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
n
- Ability to dissect and understand EBA impacts on cost and productivity
n
n
Desirable:
n
n
- Qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management
n
- Experience using enterprise estimating programs such as CATS
n
- Senior First Aid and CPR certification
n
- Previous experience in utilities, construction, or resource industries
n
n
