Job Description

An established financial services organisation is seeking a Compliance Manager - Privacy to join its Risk & Compliance team.

In this business-facing role, you'll provide trusted privacy and compliance advice, support key business initiatives, and help strengthen the organisation's privacy and governance framework.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide practical privacy and compliance advice to stakeholders across the business.
n
- Support privacy, regulatory and governance initiatives.
n
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and review business projects and change initiatives.
n
- Assist with data breach management, incident response and regulatory obligations.
n
- Develop, maintain and enhance privacy policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
n
- Build robust stakeholder relationships and promote privacy awareness across the organisation.
n
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, including changes to privacy obligations.
n

About You

n

n
- 3-5 years' experience in Privacy, Data Protection, Compliance, Legal or a related discipline, ideally within financial services.
n
- Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)



and advising on privacy obligations.
n
- Strong knowledge of the Privacy Act, Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and exposure to GDPR.
n
- Exposure to AI governance, information security or technology-related environments will be highly regarded.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
n
- Collaborative working style with experience partnering across multiple business functions.
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably in Law or a related discipline. Privacy certifications (e.g. CIPP, CIPM or equivalent) are highly regarded.
