Skills and Experience Required
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene (or equivalent) that is recognised by the Dental Board of Australia
n
- Registration with the Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA)
n
- At least 3 years experience working as a Dental Hygienist
n
n
Tasks & responsibilities
n
n
- Diagnose and treat periodontal conditions, including taking a health history and dental charting
n
- Work in partnership with the dentists in diagnosis and treatment planning of patients to maintain or restore oral health
n
- Administer local anaesthetic, dental radiographs and digital scans
n
- Assist in providing orthodontic treatment (braces and transparent aligners) - training provided
n
- Communicate and educate patients on oral hygiene and prevention strategies
n
- Supervisory and training responsibilities to dental assistants
n

We are a growing practice, using State-of-the-art Dental Operatory Equipment & Design e.g. Digital Radiography (including in-house OPG unit), Intraoral Cameras, Digital Scanner.
