Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSEQ Administrator to support the effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Integrated Management System.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide essential support to Vital Chemical's manufacturing operations by supporting quality control processes, chemical compliance and inventory and assisting with environmental and sustainability initiatives.

n

This permanent part-time role operates across two sites, providing a diverse and hands-on opportunity to support quality, compliance, environmental, and sustainability initiatives across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with HSEQ administration or compliance experience who is looking to build a long-term career in Health, Safety, Setting and Quality.

What You'll Do:

n

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager you will provide administrative, reporting and compliance support across the business.

n

Other tasks include:

n

Manufacturing and Chemical Management

n

n
- Develop, review, and maintain manufacturing procedures in line with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
n
- Conduct Hazardous Chemical Risk Assessments and support document control, procedure updates, and workforce training.
n
- Collaborate with Production team to ensure compliance with product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
n
- Administer and maintain the Chemwatch system, ensuring accurate chemical management records and regulatory compliance.
n
- Oversee Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management, ensuring documentation is current, accessible, and compliant with legislative requirements.
n

Quality Control

n

- Investigate quality issues and non-conformances, supporting corrective actions and resolution.
n
- Perform internal audits of production processes and documentation.
n
- Support the ongoing maintenance and effectiveness of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
n

n

Environment and Sustainability

n

n
- Monitor and manage waste tracking and disposal activities.
n
- Support the identification, assessment, and management of environmental aspects and impacts across site operations.
n
- Provide sustainability support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
n
- Contribute to environmental compliance, reporting, and sustainability initiatives to support organisational goals and regulatory requirements.

Operational Support

n

- Assist with preparing toolbox talks and meeting minutes.
n
- Support incident reporting and investigation administration.
n
- Prepare HSEQ statistics and reports for operational teams and tender submissions.
n
- Monitor HSEQ activity schedules and follow up outstanding actions
n
- Review data entered HSEQ systems, including incident, audit and inspection records.
n
- Provide general administrative support to the HSEQ Manager.

About You:

n

n




- Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, or production environment advantageous.
n
- Qualification in WHS, Quality, Environmental Management, Chemistry or a related field (Certificate, Diploma or equivalent experience or currently studying).
n
- Knowledge of hazardous chemical management and environmental compliance requirements advantageous.
n
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) desirable.
n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
n
- Data analysis and reporting skills.
n
- Project coordination and organisational skills.
n
- Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
n
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work closely with Production, Operations, and Management teams.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Drivers licence and own transport.
n
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and police check.
n
