About The Role

n

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Product Development Assistant to join our Design team and work alongside our experienced Product Development Manager.

n

In this role, you will assist with the product development of current school uniform ranges, redesigns and the replication of existing uniforms for both our retail and wholesale customers.

n

This position would suit someone with a background in apparel product development, garment construction or graphic design, or someone currently studying a relevant qualification.

n

This is a part-time role (20+ hours per week). Days and hours are flexible and will be discussed with the successful applicant.

n

Main duties will include:

n

n




- Creating concept boards and presentation material using Adobe Illustrator
n
- Creating garment technical drawings for Tech Packs and specifications
n
- Entering sample orders into our computer system
n
- Liaising with suppliers regarding sample requests, specifications, tech packs, lab dips, handlooms and embroidery strike-offs.
n
- Updating critical path spreadsheets in Excel
n
- Attending meetings with schools alongside the Product Development Manager as required.

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you willhave:

n

n
- Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop Skills (essential)
n
- An understanding of garment construction and fabrics.
n
- Knowledge of garment manufacturing processes (highly regarded).
n
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
n
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
n
