At Fortress Collision Repair Services, we're an independent, market-leading automotive repairer and trusted partner to insurers, specialising in high-severity collision repairs, including complex, non-drivable, EV and mechanical repairs.

As our business continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced Panel Shop Estimator to join our new Burleigh team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new site from the ground up while enjoying the support and stability of an established national business.

About the Role
n
As a Panel Shop Estimator, you will play a key role in accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates and coordinating with insurers, customers and production teams to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality repair outcomes.
n
Working in a fast-paced collision repair environment, you'll contribute to workshop productivity while delivering exceptional customer service throughout the repair journey.
n
Key Duties & Responsibilities
n
n
- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair requirements in accordance with manufacturer repair methods and industry standards.
n
- Prepare accurate repair estimates using Audanet, iBody or similar estimating systems.
n
- Identify structural and non-structural vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
n
- Liaise with insurers to obtain repair approvals and manage supplementary estimates where additional damage is identified.
n
- Communicate repair requirements with Panel Beaters, Spray Painters, Production Managers and Parts teams to ensure efficient workflow.
n
- Monitor repair progress and update estimates as required throughout the repair process.
n
- Ensure repairs comply with OEM repair procedures, insurer requirements and workplace quality standards.
n
- Maintain accurate repair documentation,
estimating records and workshop management system updates.
n
- Participate in production meetings to assist with workflow planning and repair scheduling.
n
- Build positive relationships with customers, insurers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
n
- Provide clear and professional communication regarding repair progress and estimated completion timeframes.
n
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.
n
- Comply with workplace health and safety policies, environmental requirements and company procedures.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- Previous experience as a Panel Shop Estimator, Vehicle Damage Assessor or similar role within the collision repair industry.
n
- Sound knowledge of vehicle construction, repair methods and estimating practices.
n
- Experience using Audanet, iBody or similar estimating software.
n
- Strong understanding of insurer repair processes and repair methodologies.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- High level of organisation with strong attention to detail.
n
- Ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced workshop setting.
n
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
n
