About the role

n

As a Turf Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing a variety of turf surfaces, ensuring they remain healthy, resilient, and presented to the highest standard.

n

Reporting to the Site Manager, this hands-on position involves all aspects of turf management across a diverse range of sites, including sports fields, local government reserves, and elite AFL venues.

n

Responsibilities include:

- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, aerating, and topdressing to uphold the quality and playability of turf surfaces.
n
- Monitor turf health and proactively address issues such as pests, diseases, and compaction through appropriate cultural and chemical practices.
n
- Implement sustainable turf management practices, including water conservation strategies, and pest management techniques.
n
- Operate and maintain specialised turf equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
n
- Collaborate with the landscaping team to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritise tasks, and deliver exceptional results.
n




- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their expectations, address concerns, and provide turf care recommendations.
n

About You

n

n
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
n
- Previous experience in turf management, greenkeeping, or a related field preferred
n
- Valid Manual Drivers licence
n
- A Working with Children's Check & National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
n
- Knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits, and maintenance requirements.
n
- Familiarity with turf care equipment and machinery, including mowers, aerators, and sprayers.
