Our client, a leading healthcare organisation, is undertaking a major digital transformation designed to improve clinical care, operational performance and patient experiences.
n
Central to this transformation is a landmark Electronic Medical Record (EMR) program and the modernisation of the broader health technology landscape. They are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect – Healthcare to shape the enterprise-wide technology strategy and ensure platforms, investments and roadmaps support the organisation's long-term vision.

The opportunity
n
Reporting to the Director of IT Architecture, you will provide strategic architectural leadership across the healthcare domain. You will help simplify a complex technology environment, establish clear target-state architecture and provide governance and assurance across major digital programs.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Defining and communicating the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards and strategic roadmaps
n
- Developing current-state, target-state and transition architectures and capability models
n
- Providing architectural leadership for the organisation's EMR transformation and other major digital health initiatives
n
- Reviewing solution architectures, procurements and technology investments for alignment with enterprise standards
n
- Contributing to architecture governance boards and design authorities
n
- Managing architectural risks, exceptions and technical debt in a transparent and controlled manner
n
- Partnering with technology and business teams to rationalise, modernise and optimise the technology landscape
n
- Ensuring architecture decisions address security, privacy, compliance, resilience and sustainability
n
- Mentoring solution architects, domain architects and technical leaders to strengthen architecture capability and consistency
n
n
About you
n
You are an accomplished Enterprise Architect with significant experience in healthcare and a strong understanding of hospital operations, clinical workflows and digital health technologies.
n
You combine strategic thinking with commercial awareness and can translate complex business requirements into practical architecture standards, roadmaps and investment decisions. You are also a credible and team-oriented influencer who can build alignment across clinical, operational, technology and executive stakeholder groups.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
- Extensive enterprise architecture or senior architecture experience within healthcare
n
- Knowledge of hospital operations, clinical workflows and the digital health landscape
n
- Experience supporting major EMR, clinical platform or healthcare transformation programs
n
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks,
governance and strategic planning
n
- TOGAF certification or training, which will be highly regarded
n
- Broad knowledge of clinical platforms, cloud, data, integration and business architecture
n
- Experience with process improvement and customer or patient journey mapping
n
- Proven architecture governance and assurance experience, including solution-design reviews and exception management
n
- The ability to balance business value, risk, cost, complexity and delivery feasibility
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience
n
n

This is a 2-year fixed-term appointment based in North Ryde, with an expectation of three days per week in the office.
