We require a motivated, reliable, and collaborative individual to fill a full-time position currently available within the Company for an HSE Safety Advisor. This role will predominantly be a FIFO/DIDO role however work within the Newcastle / Hunter Valley region may be a requirement from time to time. This is an exciting opportuntity to assist and develop safe sytems of work for a fast growing dynamic business with the potential for growth and development for the right candidiate.

The role requirements include:
n
Providing support to the Project Manager, Safety Manager and site personnel,
n
Ensuring copies of relevant legislation, codes of practice are readily accessible to all site personnel.
n
Provide Health and Safety guidance in resolving issues with a view to continuous improvement and elimination of any future Health and Safety incidents.
n
Ensuring ACG and sitesafety inductions are completed, current to legislation and business requirements and ensure compliance.
n
Stopping any work deemed unsafe, intervening on all unsafe behaviour and undertaking all necessary controls to rectify the danger or correct the behaviour prior to recommencing works.
n
Liaising with the Clients in the preparation and maintenanceof the Project Risk Register.
n
Assisting withemergency response training drills and exercises.
n
Reviewing training records and qualifications to ensure each person is competent to perform tasks associated with their position.
n
Conducting formal/ informal audits on the projectscompliance and participate in workplace hazard inspections.
n
Reviewing SWMS, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for compliance to the project standards.
n
Advising the Project Manager and Safety Managerof the state of Health and Safety as applied to the project.
n
Ensuring compliance to ACG systems including, plant and equipment processes, risk management and training requirements.
n
Ensuring statistics are reported in line with project and overall business requirements.
n
Completion of incident investigations and reports.
n
Engaging with site supervision in the completion of required KPI's.
n
Liaising with the ACG Safety Manager in regard to the Projects HSE status and requirements.
n
Required Qualifications
n
Minimum Cert IV in WHS
n
ICAM lead investigation Training
n
Certification in drug and alcohol testing
n
First aid within 3 years
n
Level 2 Confined Space within 3 years
n
Protected Working at Heights within 3 years
n
LVR/CPR within a year
n
General Construction Induction
n
RTW qualifications and experience (desirable)
n

High level of computer literacy, including MS Office suite skills i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook Adobe etc.
n
5 years'experience in a similar role is highly desirable
n
