About the Role:
n
The Sales Engineer position is responsible for both sourcing new sales opportunities across all market segments to grow the service the business and to provide the service/products in their portfolio.
n
Sales Responsibilities of Position:
n
Establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities through cold calling & referrals, and following up on potential leads/prospects.
n
Determine customer needs and propose appropriate product and service solutions including writing of quotations.
n
Structured & documented calling program to proactively manage your customer base to maximize repeat business and prevent loss of client to competitors.
n
Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth
n
Represent the company at all relevant Industry Trade Promotional events to accumulate recent leads,
make productive contact with existing clients and to profile the company and its entire product range.
n
Monthly meetings with Director/Operations Manager to review weekly sales activities, progress on sales goals, status of prospective customers and monitor your calling program.
n
Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers. Meet or exceed the new business sales goals whilst achieving set gross margins. Other duties, as assigned by Director/Operations Manager.

Technical Responsibilities of Position:
n
Sizing and performance modelling of various types of heat exchangers (shell and tube, double pipe, plate, plate and shell, spiral, block, and others) using existing tools.
n
Checking the mechanical design of equipment for sale bythe company including mechanical calculation, computer modelling.
n
Learning and managing regulatory work for pressure equipment.
n
Project management for selected contracts.
n
Mechanical repair work alongside the technicians when needed.
