Job Description
Cert IV Team Leader Bishop Tyrrell Place

Newcastle Anglican are seeking permanent part-time Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader (Cert IV) to join our team at Bishop Tyrell Place in Cundletown. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care homes.
n

Role & Responsibilities:
n
n
- Lead and mentor a care team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Residential Care Manager, ensuringappropriate allocation of skilled team members to Resident care needs and effective orientating and 'buddying' of new employees, supporting team members in all aspects of their work,
n
- Administer medication under the delegation and supervision of the Registered Nurse
n
- Contribute to the clinical care of consumers including maintenance of clinical records.
n
n
About you?
n
n
- Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent
n
- Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain
n
- An ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
n
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
n
- Ability to accurately document residents' care/progress
n
n
