Job Description

WDAC Implementation Specialist

n

Role Description

n

n
- Designand implement WDAC policies using XML and convert them to binary forenforcement.
n
- Deploy WDAC policies viaMicrosoft Intune, Endpoint Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr), orPowerShell.
n
- Configure audit mode beforeenforcement to minimize disruption and validate policy effectiveness.
n
- Security & Compliance:
n
- Enforceapplication control to prevent unauthorized code execution, includingkernel-level protection.
n
- Align WDAC implementationwith regulatory requirements and organizational security frameworks.
n
- Integration & Management:
n
- IntegrateWDAC with Microsoft Defender Antivirus and other endpoint security tools.
n




- Enable managed installerfunctionality for automated trust of Intune-deployed applications.
n
- Monitoring &Troubleshooting;:
n
- AnalyzeWDAC logs using Microsoft Security tools (e.g., Advanced Hunting) to refinepolicies.
n
- Resolve application blockageissues and maintain policy updates for evolving business needs.
n
- Documentation & Training:
n
- Maintaindetailed documentation of WDAC configurations and deployment processes.
n
- Provide training and supportfor IT teams and end-users on WDAC policies.
n

Knowledge

n

n
- Robust knowledge of Windows security architecture, applicationcontrol, and endpoint protection.
n
- Hands-on experience withMicrosoft Intune, ConfigMgr, and PowerShell scripting.
n
- Familiarity with CodeIntegrity policies, audit vs enforcement modes, and policy signing.
n

Requirements

- Ability to manage large-scale deployments and troubleshootcomplex WDAC issues.
n

Preferred Experience

n

n
- Previous experienceimplementing WDAC in enterprise environments.
n
- Understanding of Zero Trustsecurity models and compliance frameworks.
n
- Knowledge of ASD EssentialEight or similar security hardening guidelines.
