We area well known local Law Firm based in Berwick having served the community for over 30 years.

Property Law including buying and selling property and businesses

n

Wills, Estates and Powers of Attorney

n

Court matters

n

Family Law including divorces and property settlements

n

Setting up and managing businesses.

We are looking for a Generalist Lawyer with a focus on Wills and Estates and with a minimum of two year's experience. Experience in other areas of law is an advantage as you may be required to assist on matters on an ad hoc basis.

n

The preferred candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

n

n
- publication through the Supreme court website, preparation of applications of probate / letters of administration
n
- dealing with financial institutions to prepare the closure of accounts, policies and sale of shares
n




- instructing accountants in the preparation of tax returns
n
- Filing of documents via Redcrest, responding to Requisitions from Registrar and drafting of additional Affidavits such as Affidavit of Due Execution (as and if required) Ordering property searches and certificates
n
- Transfer of ownership of real estate to beneficiaries including liaising with the mortgagee, overseeing the lodgement at the Land Titles Office and liaising with the SRO
n
- Attending to payment of all estate expenses, preparation of Distribution Statement, investment of funds (if required) and arranging distribution of funds to beneficiaries
n

As well as above, you may be required to assist with Commercial Law, Property Law and general litigation matters.
