Mcdowalls' Panel Works is a well-established automotive repair business based in Proserpine, Queensland. Operating for nearly 40 years, we specialise in insurance repairs, vehicle refinishing, windscreen fitting, and towing services.

We are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and are seeking a skilled Vehicle Painter to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks & Responsibilities

n

n
- Carry out vehicle painting and refinishing work on insurance repair and heavy vehicle projects
n
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality
n
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
n
- Prepare vehicle panels and surfaces for painting
n
- Mask and protect vehicle components before painting
n




- Mix and colour-match paints to the required specifications
n
- Apply primers, base coats and finishing coats using spray-painting equipment
n
- Sand, buff and polish painted surfaces to achieve high-quality finishes
n
- Apply rust protection treatments where required
n
- Maintain a protected, clean and organised work environment
n

Skill & Experience

Qualifications & Experience

- Relevant spray-painting qualification and/or demonstrated industry experience
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
n
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
n
- Willingness to assist with general workshop duties when required
n
- 3rd or 4th year apprentices are encouraged to apply
