We are seeking an accomplished Head of Commercial and Contract Services to join our senior operations team in Brisbane.
n
Reporting to the EGM - Operations, this pivotal role will provide strategic leadership across procurement, commercial management, estimating, tendering and risk functions. You will play a key role in driving sustainable business growth, strengthening commercial capability and ensuring robust governance throughout the pre-contract and commercial lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
n
Strategic Leadership
n
n
- Lead and develop high-performing procurement, commercial, estimating and tendering teams.
n
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
n
- Strengthen organisational capability through effective leadership,
coaching and professional development.
n
- Drive operational efficiency and contribute to broader business improvement initiatives.
n

Commercial Governance, Risk and Compliance
n
n
- Establish and maintain effective commercial governance frameworks, policies and processes.
n
- Manage commercial, contractual, procurement and public liability risk frameworks.
n
- Ensure procurement and commercial activities comply with organisational policies, WHS obligations and legislative requirements.
n
- Provide executive-level reporting, risk insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
n
n
Tendering, Estimating and Business Growth
n
n
- Lead major tender submissions, proposals and commercial opportunities.
n
- Develop robust estimating processes to support competitive and profitable business outcomes.
n
- Improve bid strategies, market opportunities and contract growth initiatives.
n
- Ensure commercial and risk reviews are completed for significant tenders.
n
- Maintain strong governance over contractual obligations, service levels and key performance requirements.
n

Procurement Excellence
n
n
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that maximise value, efficiency and supplier performance.
n
- Enhance procurement systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
n
- Ensure appropriate commercial evaluation, negotiation and contract management practices are applied.
n
n
About You
n
You are an experienced commercial executive with a strong background leading procurement, tendering and commercial functions within complex operational environments.
n
You will bring:
n
n
- 8–10+ years' experience in senior commercial, procurement or pre-contract leadership roles.
n
- Experience managing significant commercial portfolios, preferably within facilities services, security, technology, asset management or related industries.
n
- Proven success leading major tenders, contracts and procurement programs.
n
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management and P&L; responsibility.
n
- Demonstrated capability in commercial strategy, contract negotiation and risk management.
n
- Strong understanding of WHS, compliance and regulatory obligations.
n
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
n
n
Qualifications
n
Essential:
n
n
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Law or a related discipline.
n
n
Desirable:
n
n
- MBA or postgraduate leadership qualification.
n
- Relevant professional certifications in procurement, commercial management or contract administration.
n
