Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and qualified Butcher to join our team at Merlin's Quality Meats. We are a family owned butcher shop, located in the heart of Bargo. The successful applicant will need to provide high-quality meats and services to our valued customers.

Butcher Responsibilities:

n

- Cutting, grinding and preparing meats for sale.
n
- Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products.
n
- Preparing, assembling, packaging and labelling meat orders for wholesale customers
n
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation controls.
n
- Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions,



and accepting orders or payments.
n
- General duties such as cleaning, maintaining tools and machinery, ensure displays and signs are accurate and attractive etc.
n

Butcher Requirements:

n

n
- Education or food preparation or meat cutting experience. A certificate III in Meat Processing is preferred.
n
- Ability to use hand tools, stand or walk for extending periods, and lift heavy items.
n
- Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.
n
- Strong communication, task management, and customer service skills.
n
- The ability to work as a team and in a fast paced environment
