About the role

Vasectomy Australia is seeking a part-time Vasectomy Nurse (RN) to join our busy clinic in Adelaide, SA. One year experience, at minimum, assisting in a procedural environment is essential. As a Vasectomy Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients undergoing vasectomy procedures while maintaining a safe and sterile clinical environment. Working alongside our experienced medical team, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for each patient.

Our Adelaide clinic operates fortnightly, with clinics alternating between Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What you'll be doing

n

- Preparing and maintaining the procedure room to meet strict sterility and safety standards
n
- Assisting the doctor during vasectomy procedures by providing instruments, supplies, and patient support
n
- Monitoring patients before, during, and after the procedure, and providing post-operative care and instructions
n
- Educating patients on the vasectomy process, including pre- and post-operative care
n
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
n
- Ensuring a high level of customer service and a positive patient experience
n

What we're looking for

- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and previous experience assisting in procedures
n
- A minimum of one year's experience assisting in a procedural environment is essential
n
- Knowledge of infection control and sterile technique procedures
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and provide compassionate care
n
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a quick-paced environment
n
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
