We have an exciting opportunity to join our passionate kitchen team as a Kitchen Hand on a casual basis (multiple roles), creating fresh and exciting dishes for our popular all-day cafe. The cafe is a key experience in our iconic tourism destination located on 40 acres of landscaped grounds and orchards in the Yarra Valley, 15 minutes from Lilydale.

While this is a casual position, part time or full time would be considered for the right candidate.

PLEASE NOTE: We are located in Yarra Glen, one hour from Melbourne CBD and not accessible by public transport.

Your Role
n
To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate some experience working hands‐on under pressure in a fast‐paced cafe or restaurant kitchen is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
n
You will need an eye for detail and a commitment to exceptional customer service. You will be well organised. Weekend and public holiday availability is a must.

Task & Responsibilities
n
Key tasks and responsibilities are:
n
n
- Support the dishwashing team as required.
n
- Assist in producing nutritious, high quality, well prepared, well presented, and enjoyable food for our customers.
n
- Assist with general kitchen duties such as cleaning, food preparation, and restocking supplies.
n
- Ensuring operation of kitchen equipment follows occupational health and safety standards.
n
- Adhere to all food handling and cleaning practices relating to food hygiene, preparation, storage, and disposal.
n
- Control and record all wastage.
n
- Demonstrate behaviours in line with The Chocolaterie Way and our core values of Caring, Commitment and Creativity.
