- A qualified Cert IV or equivalent Veterinary Nurse
n
- 2+ years of nursing experience with strong experience handling a variety of medical & surgical cases, and confidence in general anaesthesia
n
- A positive attitude, a real team player and excellent communication skills.
n
- A genuine passion for patient care and a commitment to providing the best service to our clients and their pets.
n
- Experience handling exotic species is advantageous, but training can be provided
n
n
About The Role
n
n
- Personable and qualified customer service.
n
- Surgical patient prepping, monitoring, and recovery.
n
- General anaesthesia (in-depth training will be provided where required).
n
- Assistance with internal ultrasonography and external ultrasound specialist service.
n
- Hospital nursing care for day patients (no inpatients are kept overnight and are transferred to OOH ECC).
n
- Performing triage service, standard nurse consultations, and animal restraint.
n
- Intravenous catheter placement and blood sample collection.
n
- Radiography, dental radiography and dental nursing (training provided and radiography licence for Cert IV nurses paid for).
n
- Inpatient care of hospital day patients.
n
- In‐house pathology.
n
- Veterinary consultation assistance i.e., restraining for ultrasound, ear cleaning, pathology sampling, venipuncture etc.
n
- General nursing and boarding duties.
n
- Some shared reception/front‐of‐house and administration tasks.
n
