Job Description
Our client is a leading Civil Infrastructure specialist with an established presence across the Eastern Coast of Australia. With a strong reputation for delivering complex utility and infrastructure projects, they have built their success through a commitment to quality, innovation, and most importantly, their people.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join their team and play a key role in supporting multiple projects across Sydney.
n
About The Role
n
Reporting into the HSE leadership team, the Senior HSE Advisor will be responsible for driving a proactive safety culture across a portfolio of civil construction projects.
n
This is an opportunity for an experienced safety professional who enjoys being site-based, building strong relationships with project teams, and providing practical HSE guidance to ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and safe project delivery.
n
You will work closely with site leaders, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to identify risks, implement effective controls, and support a positive safety culture across the business.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Provide expert HSE advice, coaching, and support to project teams, supervisors, and workers.
n
- Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, consultation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, safety observations,
and compliance reviews.
n
- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and HSE training sessions.
n
- Lead incident investigations, reporting, and corrective action processes.
n
- Review, develop, and maintain HSE documentation including SWMS, risk assessments, procedures, and management plans.
n
- Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
n
- Support project teams with hazard identification, risk management, and implementation of effective control measures.
n
- Build solid relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and external parties.
n
- Provide guidance and support to junior HSE team members.
n
n
To be considered for this role, you will have:
n
n
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum) or Diploma of Work Health & Safety.
n
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a Senior HSE Advisor or similar role.
n
- Strong experience within the Civil Construction industry.
n
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance requirements, and safety management systems.
n
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments.
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence teams at all levels.
n
- A proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously across multiple projects.
