Job Description

Due to an internal development opportunity, our Townsville Plant is currently recruiting a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator to join the team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the WHS & RTW Coordinator will work closely with the management team and play a vital role in the successful operation of the processing plant, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace while supporting the effective management of workplace injuries and facilitating employees' safe and timely return to work.

About You

n

n
- Demonstrated experience in WHS and Injury Management (IMC)
n
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher)
n
- Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certification (or equivalent)
n
- Fire Safety Advisor training (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Strong working knowledge of the WHS Act 2011, relevant regulations, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards
n
- Sound understanding of Queensland workplace rehabilitation legislation
n
- Experience within a large, self-insured organisation (advantageous)
n
- Well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills
n
- Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities
n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
n
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
