T White Building and Construction
Central Coast Council
Job Description
T White Building and Construction pty Ltd – Kincumber NSW
n
Are you an experienced carpenter who's ready to step up and help drive the site, not just work on it?
n
Do you take pride in sharp workmanship, clear communication, and keeping the crew moving when the pressure is on?
n
T.White Building & Construction is looking for a Leading Hand Carpenter to join our onsite team across the Central Coast.
n
This role is for someone who brings energy, takes ownership, and knows how to lift the standard of the people around them.
n
Not someone who turns up, clocks in, does the bare minimum, and heads home.
n
About T.White Building & Construction
n
T.White Building & Construction is an architectural residential building company based on the Central Coast.
n
We specialise in high-quality major residential renovations and new builds, working with some of the best architects in the region.
n
We've won Master Builders awards, we've got a full signed pipeline of work through to 2028, and we're building a team that can keep raising the bar.
n
We believe the business wins when the team wins.
n
We're a sports team, not a family. That means clear standards, strong communication, support where it's needed, and everyone pulling in the same direction.
n
The Role: Leading Hand Carpenter
n
Your job is simple.
n
Keep the onsite team moving forward and support the supervisor so projects stay sharp, organised, safe, and productive.
n
You'll be hands-on with high-quality carpentry work, reading architectural and structural drawings, reviewing schedules, helping organise site works,
and making sure the team has what they need to keep momentum.
n
You'll work closely with the site supervisor and project managers, giving clear updates on hardware, materials, delays, risks, and anything that could slow the job down.
n
When something's not right, you'll speak up early.
n
And you won't just point at the problem. You'll help work through the solution.
n
What We're Looking For
n
You've been around long enough to know what good looks like.
n
Ideally, you'll have 8-10 years of carpentry experience, with solid exposure to high-end architectural residential work. You can read plans, understand details, think ahead, and keep quality tight without needing someone over your shoulder all day.
n
You're calm under pressure, but you still bring energy to site.
n
You communicate clearly, stay organised, and help pull the team forward when the day starts getting messy.
n
Experience leading or managing a small carpentry team would put you in a strong position. A Certificate IV in Building and Construction would be a bonus too.
n
Got your own tools? Great.
n
If you've got 5-8 years' experience but the right attitude, solid site experience, good communication, and the ability to grow into the role,
we're open to talking.
n
This role won't suit someone who's just finished their apprenticeship, needs to be pushed every day, communicates poorly, or drags the energy of the team down.
n
We need someone who adds to the site, not someone the site has to carry.
n
What's In It For You
n
You'll be paid a negotiable rate based on experience and demonstrated ability.
n
You'll work on interesting, variable, high-end residential projects with a strong pipeline already signed through to 2028.
n
You'll get clear expectations, support onsite, PPE support, training opportunities, and room to progress as the business grows.
n
You'll be part of a team that values good work, strong standards, and people who take ownership.
n
There's also a decent Christmas break, work-life balance, recognition for strong performance, and the chance to be involved in the direction and growth of the business.
n
This isn't just another carpentry role.
n
It's a chance to step into more responsibility and become a key person onsite.
n
Is This You?
n
You take pride in your work.
n
You think ahead.
n
You communicate before small problems become big ones.
n
You stay calm, but you don't move slowly.
n
You're the person who helps the team lift, not the one waiting around to be told what to do.
n
You want to keep growing in your career, take on more responsibility, and be part of a residential building team delivering quality architectural projects.
n
If that sounds like you, we should talk.
