Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cafe Supervisor to be part of our dynamic team in a professional and high-profile environment.

As the Supervisor, you are responsible for the seamless running of the Cafe in the most productive and effective manner, delivering the highest possible standards of service, whilst being pro-active in maintaining and/or improving turnover and profitability.

n

Responsibilities:

n

Delivers and maintains exceptional service standards and conditions.

n

Continuously looks to improve profitability and minimise costs without compromising standards and customer experience.

n

Fosters a positive environment, which provides consistent, efficient, and friendly service for customers, and exceeds customer expectations.

n

Creates the tone and personality of the Cafe by being an advocate of training, customer service, product knowledge and education, encourages safe work practices, and a demonstrates commitment to our requirements.

n

Ensures proper team member coverage, scheduling according to the needs of business while maintaining costs.

n

Able to perform all POS duties, front and back of house, including opening and closing procedures, coordinating with the Site Manager as necessary.

n





Makes themselves aware and notifies their team of any menu changes, special requirements (including menu items and dishes), outstanding orders or work tasks required prior to the commencement of service.

n

Ensures all staff are well briefed on their responsibilities and are given constant supervision and motivation on all aspects of their work.

n

Serve food and/or beverages to customers; prepare and serve specialty dishes at tables.

n

Resolve customer complaints regarding food and beverage service.

n

Support the Site Manager and Head Chef in the management of the kitchen and achievement of departmental KPI's.

n

Other ad-hoc duties as per required.

n

Qualifications:

n

Minimum of 2 years' Barista Experience

n

Approaches the role with energy and enthusiasm

n

Intermediate accounting and arithmetic skills.

n

Strong leadership skills with an affinity for capacity development.

n

Excellent conflict resolution abilities.

n

2 years of Hospitality Management experience.

n

Strong attention to details.

n

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

n

Has a valid WWCC.

n

Successful applicants will be residing in Melbourne at the time of application and have full working rights.
