About the Clients:

- At CPA, our SIL houses typically accommodate between 3-6 clients. Clients can range in age from their early 20s through to more mature-aged clients.
n
- Individuals living in CPA group homes may have a variety of disabilities, including but not limited to Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down syndrome, and other intellectual or physical disabilities.
n
- Clients may also present with differing levels of medical needs and behaviours, requiring varying levels of support.
n

Role Overview
n
We are looking for a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our Accommodation and Respite service at our Asquith group home. This is a Permanent Part-Time prospect, offering approximately 25 hours per week across a variety of shifts, including morning, day, evening, and awake night shifts.
n
As a Disability Support Worker (DSW) in a CPA SIL home, you will provide compassionate,
person-centred support to clients in a domestic setting, helping them live as independently as possible while supporting their individual needs, choices, and goals.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
- Support clients with daily living tasks, including cooking, mealtimes, cleaning, and general household activities
n
- Provide personal care in a respectful and dignified manner (e.g., showering, toileting)
n
- Administer medication in line with care plans
n
- Assist with mobility and manual handling, including the use of specialised equipment such as hoists
n
- Monitor and document client wellbeing, reporting any changes
n
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a supportive and positive team environment
n
Shift Times May Include
n
- Early mornings: 6:00am - 9:00am
n
- Day shifts: 9:00am - 3:00pm
n
- Afternoon/evening shifts: 3:00pm - 6:00pm / 7:00pm / 8:00pm / 9:00pm
n
- Awake overnight: 10:00pm/11:00pm - 6:00am/7:00am
n

Essential Criteria
n
- Commitment to person-centred care
n
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P2)
n
- Ability to meet the inherent physical requirements of the role
n
- Willingness to work a rotating roster
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Working With Children Check
n
- First Aid & CPR
n
Where required, CPA will support or reimburse relevant compliance certifications.
