Job Description
HOBAN Recruitment is seeking experienced Allied Health and Health Professionals for APS6 Support Needs Assessor opportunities in DEAKIN ACT.
n

Working within a collaborative environment, you will engage with participants and their support networks, gather and analyse information, and prepare high-quality assessment reports that contribute to positive outcomes.
n About the Role
n As an APS6 Support Needs Assessor, you will:
n
n
- Conduct support needs assessments with participants and their representatives.
n
- Gather, analyse and synthesise information to support evidence-based assessment outcomes.
n
- Interpret clinical and external evidence to assess participant support needs.
n
- Prepare clear, accurate and high-quality assessment reports.
n
- Communicate assessment processes and outcomes with participants, families and support networks.
n
- Apply legislation, policies and procedures while maintaining a participant-centred approach.
n
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure quality and consistency of outcomes.
n
- Use digital systems to accurately record assessment information and outcomes.
n
- Deliver assessments through both face-to-face and virtual engagement channels.
n
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, learning and professional development.
n
- Competitive pay rate of $61.86 per hour, including casual loading, providing you with financial stability and recognition for your expertise.

About You
n
To be successful, you will have:

Mandatory Qualifications
n
You must hold a recognised tertiary qualification in one of the following:
n
Allied Health Disciplines
n
n
- Occupational Therapy
n
- Physiotherapy
n
- Speech Pathology
n
- Social Work
n
- Dietetics
n
- Exercise Physiology
n
- Rehabilitation Counselling
n
- Counselling
n
- Psychotherapy
n
n
OR
n
Relevant Health Disciplines
n
n
- Registered Nurse (RN)
n
- Enrolled Nurse (EN)
n
- Clinician with an Education degree
n
- NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner
n
n

Desired Experience & Skills
n
n
- Experience conducting support needs assessments or other person-centred assessment frameworks.
n
- Strong commitment to person-centred and strengths-based practice.
n
- Excellent interviewing, assessment and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- Experience analysing complex information and making evidence-based decisions.
n
- Strong written communication and report writing capability.
n
- Understanding of disability, accessibility and inclusive practice.
n
- Ability to work within legislative, policy and quality assurance frameworks.
n
- Experience using digital case management or assessment systems.
n
- Accreditation or experience using the I-CAN Support Needs Assessment Tool will be highly regarded.
n
n
