About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety,
quality and ongoing improvement of Manningham’s parks and open space assets.
As a Parks Asset Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in
delivering inspection, maintenance and renewal programs across playgrounds and
open space assets to ensure they are safe, compliant and fit for community use.
This is both a hands-on maintenance role undertaking proactive maintenance
tasks as well as undertaking asset inspections, coordinating rectification
works and supporting the delivery of renewal programs.
The role involves:
- Conducting inspections and condition assessments of
playgrounds and open space assets using GIS asset-basedsystems
- Undertaking proactive maintenance works and minor
repairs across park assets
- Coordinating and overseeing maintenance, repair and
replacement works in line with required standards and timeframes
- Working closely with internal teams, contractors and
stakeholders to deliver asset maintenance programs
- Supporting asset data management to ensure accurate
records for planning and forecasting
- This is a role that combines technical knowledge,
fieldwork and coordination, providing an opportunity to directly contribute to
the safety, usability and presentation of community assets across Manningham.
Who are you
- You have hands-on experience in maintenance and a broad
range of construction trade skills, with relevant trade qualifications highly
regarded
- You are confident working both in the field and with
asset management systems, including GIS asset-based software systems
- You have a strong understanding of asset inspection,
maintenance and renewal processes, particularly within parks, playgrounds or
open space environments
- You take an innovative and practical approach to
maintenance problem solving, with the ability to identify issues and deliver
effective solutions with a strong attention to detail
- You are highly organised and able to maintain
inspection and maintenance programs, ensuring works are completed within
required timeframes
- You are customer-focused and demonstrate excellent
communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors,
internal teams and the community
