We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our friendly and collaborative Head Office team based in Spring Hill. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to employees and stakeholders.

About the Role
n
Reporting to theFinancial Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll across our national network of hospitals.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Processing fortnightly payroll for employees across 39 hospitals
n
- Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment conditions
n
- Processing new starters, terminations and employee changes
n
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records
n
- Responding to payroll enquiries and providing payroll-related advice
n
- Preparing and running payroll reports
n
- Performing payroll calculations, reconciliations and compliance checks
n
- Building strong relationships with employees, managers and stakeholders
n
- Assisting with payroll improvement initiatives and upcoming payroll projects
n
n
About You
n
n
- 2-5 years' experience in end-to-end payroll processing
n
- Experience working within a high-volume payroll environment
n
- Strong understanding of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and legislative requirements
n
- Experience managing new starter setups, terminations and leave calculations
n
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
n
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
n
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
n
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
- MYOB payroll experience essential
n
- XERO payroll experience advantageousHealthcare or multi-site payroll experience
n
