We seek an enthusiastic Laboratory Aide to join our team in the Specimen Reception Area at Gateshead.

The position is 38 hours per week on a rotating roster including afternoon shifts, weekends and public holidays.
n
The position requires a person willing to multi-skill in numerous areas, including unpacking, coding and preparation of pathology specimens for testing, report sorting, data entry and results phoning.
n

The appointee must be reliable, flexible, willing to work as part of a team, work rotating shifts and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience and a sound knowledge of WH&S; is advantageous. A Medical Science certificate is desirable.
