Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

The Opportunity
n Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (Mechanical) to join the AH‐64 Apache sustainment and support team.
n
Program overview
n
The AH‐64E Apache program provides advanced attack helicopter capability to the Australian Defence Force, enabling precision strike, armed reconnaissance and close air support. This program sustains a critical combat capability, supports interoperability with coalition partners, and underpins Australia's land and joint operations.
n

What you'll get to do
n
n
- Conduct aircraft and component maintenance within scope of authorisations
n
- Ensuring do not proceed past inspection check points until inspected by supervisor.
n
- Ensuring all activities including any ancillary tasks are completed for assigned tasks as required.
n
- Accurate completion of technical documentation / reports.
n
- Prioritising personal and subordinate work tasks and goals.
n
- Signifies that work is completed to the specified requirements by stamping the appropriate documentation to this effect as authorised by the Responsible Manager and recorded in their Competency Log Book.
n
- Assist the Team Leader in carrying out Workplace assessments in support of Team requirements.
n
- Contributes to improvements in the performance of the team (and the organisation generally) by proposing solutions to problems and more effective methods of work.
n
- Be an integral part of the Apache capability.
n
n
Who we're looking for
n
n
- Apache familiarisation course (CoA Provided).
n
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative,
prioritise and work to tight timeframes with limited supervision.
n
- Demonstrated success in the development of effective working relationships within a complex organisational structure to meet team, business unit and organisational goals.
n
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance / modification operating procedures and documentation.
n
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
n
- Demonstrated experience in using Technical Manuals / Publications in the repair of Aeronautical product and systems.
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and technical directives.
n
- Working at Heights qualification.
n
n
