VDG is seeking reliable Water Treatment Plant Cleaners to join our team at a major water treatment plant in Bondi.

The role involves working within an active water treatment workplace using high-pressure cleaning equipment, industrial hoses and specialised cleaning methods. Duties include cleaning treatment plant equipment, operational areas and surrounding infrastructure while working safely around machinery, water and chemicals.

There are regular ad-hoc confined space work requests involving the cleaning of tanks, pits and other treatment plant infrastructure.

n

This is a permanent full-time position offering stable Monday to Friday hours (7:00am – 3:30pm), with opportunities for overtime and reactive call-outs.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Industrial cleaning of treatment plant facilities and operational areas
n
- Cleaning process equipment including tanks, pits, channels,



screens and clarifiers
n
- High‐pressure cleaning using industrial cleaning equipment and hoses
n
- General housekeeping of buildings, roads and surrounding infrastructure
n
- Cleaning following maintenance works, spills and wet weather events
n
- Assisting with clearing blockages and maintaining operational areas
n
- Working safely around machinery, water and chemicals
n
- Completing permits and required safety documentation
n
- Reporting hazards and maintenance issues
n
- Complying with all WHS policies, permit‐to‐work systems and site procedures
n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Current and valid Australian Driver Licence
n
- Current and valid White Card
n
- Current Forklift Licence (essential but can be obtained during onboarding)
n
- Current Confined Space Entry Certification (essential but can be obtained during onboarding)
n
- Current Working at Heights Certification (essential but can be obtained during onboarding)
n
- Previous experience in industrial/commercial cleaning, plant cleaning, hygiene services, labouring, maintenance or similar roles
n
- Ability to complete permit documentation
n
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
n
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
