Roles and Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide in-home,SIL, and community-based support (e.g. meal prep, domestic duties, personal care, community access,transport).
n
- Support participants with employment coaching and goal setting based on their NDIS plans.
n
- Maintain detailed client records and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery
n
- Have experience in working with people with disabilities, challenging behaviour, and complex physical disabilities.
n
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with people with disabilities is required.
n
- Have experience with supporting clients who have Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices.
n
- Need regular involvement in high manual handling tasks such as transfers, repositioning, and mobility assistance.
n
- Help develop daily routines and activity schedules that promote independence.
n
- Administer medications and assist with manual handling where necessary.
n
- Record accurate shift notes, incident reports, and observations in line with regulatory and organisational standards

- Have ability to establish great working relationships with a wide range of people, stakeholders and Organisations.
n
- Demonstrated sound written and oral communication skills to communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation and its participants.
n
- Demonstrated sound organisational skills including an ability to see tasks through to completion.
n

Key Requirements

- Must have Australian work rights and authorisation to work in Australia.
n

n

Availability

n

Flexibility and availability are essential in this role, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, morning, day, afternoon, evening, night, weekend, and sleepover shifts.

n

Qualifications

n

n
- Minimum Cert III or relevant qualification in Disability Support, Community Services or a related field desirable.
n
- NDIS Orientation Module completed
n
- NDIS Orientation Module must be completed before starting work.
n
- Valid First Aid and CPR
n
- Current Driver's Licence (Australian or valid international)
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Working With Vulnerable People card
n
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills
n
- Vehicle: Reliable, fully insured personal vehicle.
n
- Personal Attributes: Empathetic, proactive, physically fit, flexible, tech-savvy, calm in crisis, strong communicator.
