About us

Cà Phê Mai is a contemporary Vietnamese cafe and wine bar opening in the heart of Double Bay. By day we run a busy specialty coffee and all-day dining service; by night the room turns over to a casual wine bar with small plates, cocktails and a wine list built around small producers from France, Italy and beyond.

The role

n

We're looking for experienced floor staff to join the opening team. Shifts are available across breakfast and lunch (Tue–Sat, 7am–3pm) and dinner service (Tue–Sat, 5pm–10pm), and we're happy to build a roster across both or weight it to what suits you.

Day to day you'll be:

n

Running sections through busy breakfast, lunch and dinner services

n

Taking orders, making recommendations and selling the menu with confidence

n

Pouring and talking about wine during evening service

n

Keeping the room tight — resets, pace and presentation

n

About you

n





Experience in rapid-paced, elevated casual dining is essential — you know what a busy service feels like and you hold your standards through it

n

Warm and professional on the floor, without the fine-dining stiffness

n

Wine knowledge is a real advantage, especially for evenings — but genuine interest and a willingness to learn counts. We'll train you on the list

Reliable, well presented, and good in a small, tight-knit team
