Caloundra Power Boat Club is a busy coastal venue with a strong reputation for consistency, quality, and efficient kitchen operations. We run a high-volume bistro, functions, and events, supported by a stable team and modern equipment including iVario Pro and combi ovens.

The Role

n

We are seeking a full‐time Sous Chef to join our leadership team. This role supports the Head Chef in day‐to‐day operations, including service execution, prep management, staff supervision, and maintaining our high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

n

You'll be hands‐on, organised, calm under pressure, and confident leading sections during peak periods.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Kitchen leadership during service and prep

n

Maintaining food quality and consistency across all menu items

n

Training and supporting junior chefs

n

Assisting with ordering, stock rotation, and waste control

n

Upholding food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards

n

Contributing to menu development and specials when required

n





Ensuring smooth communication across the kitchen and front‐of‐house

n

About You

n

Qualified Chef with robust experience in high‐volume venues

n

Confident running a section and leading a team

n

Reliable, organised, and solutions‐focused

n

Positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a professional kitchen culture

n
