Position Summary:

n

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Worker (PCW) to join our team and provide non-medical care and support to clients in their homes throughout the community. As a PCW, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve by assisting with daily living activities, offering companionship, and promoting independence.

n

Responsibilities:

n

n
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
n
- Provide light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up living areas
n
- Prepare and serve meals according to clients' dietary needs and preferences
n
- Support clients with medication reminders
n
- Offer companionship and emotional support
n
- Assist with errands and transportation to appointments as needed (if applicable)
n
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
n
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
n
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the care team or supervisor
n
- Follow individualised care plans and organisational policies at all times
n




- Promote client safety, wellbeing, and infection control practices
n
- Work independently while following scheduled care visits and timeframes
n
- Support clients with community access, including safe transport and accompaniment to appointments, social activities, and outings using own vehicle where required
n

Qualifications

Qualifications:

n

n
- Certificate iii in individual support and gaed care
n
- Previous experience as a PCA, caregiver, or in a related field preferred.
n
- Cert iii in individual support or equivalent
n
- Working with children check
n
- Current First aid and CPR
n

n
