Position: Cook
Salary: $80,000 to $85,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation

Mr Hunjra Cafe & Restaurant is seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team at Kewdale, WA 6105. The business specialises in Pakistani cuisine alongside burgers, wraps, kebabs, shawarma, fried chicken and other freshly prepared meals.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Inspect and prepare fresh meat, vegetables, spices and other ingredients to ensure quality and freshness.
• Prepare and cook Pakistani dishes, kebabs, shawarma, burgers, fried chicken, rice dishes and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate and monitor grills, fryers, ovens and other commercial cooking equipment, ensuring appropriate cooking temperatures are maintained.
• Season and prepare food using appropriate spices, sauces and marinades to achieve consistent flavour and quality.
• Portion, plate and garnish meals consistently while ensuring orders are prepared accurately and within required service times.




• Prepare ingredients and food components in advance to support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
• Store and rotate food appropriately and maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene and temperature-control requirements.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organised and secure kitchen environment.

Qualifications
• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (Preferred but not mandatory)
• Diploma of Hospitality Management (Preferred but not mandatory).
• Minimum 1 year experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen or restaurant environment.

Skills & Other Requirements
• Experience preparing South Asian/Pakistani-style cuisine, including grilled and spiced meat dishes, kebabs and rice-based meals, is highly regarded.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen and manage multiple orders.
• Strong attention to food quality, portion control and presentation.
• Ability to work cooperatively with chefs and other kitchen staff.
• Reliable, organised and able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
