Our growing 50-year-old family business is looking for a highly dependable team player to join our staff as a food production assistant. If you've ever been interested in the process of industrial food products and are committed to supporting our brand's reputation for artisan frozen dessert products, then this is the place for you.

To be successful for this role you will need the following:

- Experience in food handling or a kitchen setting is preferred but not essential
- (Cooks, chefs, and pastry chefs, would be highly favourable.)
- Have an understanding of the importanceof following strict hygiene practices
- Good work ethics, punctual and reliable
- Ability to work in a cold and sub-zero setting for an extended period of time
- Be physically fit and be able to lift up to 25kg
- Ability to multi-task and work quickly under pressure
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Able to work autonomously and without supervision
- Must be flexible with all duties




- Good communication and verbal skills are essential

This role will require you to:

- Follow and prepare specific recipes and procedures
- Adhere to a strict Food Safety Program
- Operate, monitor, and clean a number of machines
- Stock and inventory rotation and control
- Performing sub-zero freezer work as required, including organising and packing
- Cleaning and organising the factory and warehouse
- Any other work that needs completing during the production.

You will be supported constantly and offered and continual training that'll help you learn and grow.

Immediate start. Monday to Friday day-work only. Public holidays and weekends off.

Must be willing to undertake a police check. Two recent reference checks will be conducted for the successful applicant.
