Position: Motor Mechanic (Automotive Technician) Company: Central Coast Motor Group Location: 373 Mann St, Gosford NSW 2250 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $78,000 – $88,000 p.a. + Super Recruitment managed by: Yakr Pty Ltd About our client: Our client, Central Coast Motor Group (CCMG) is a major family-owned automotive dealership network operating on the New South Wales Central Coast in Australia, a company that has proudly served the automotive needs of Australians for more than 40 years.

With a wide portfolio of brands including Mercedes-Benz, Mazda, Subaru, Nissan, chery, Isuzu and Volkswagen, they provide comprehensive vehicle solutions from luxury models to commercial and family vehicles.

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Conducting inspections and diagnostics to identify and assess mechanical issues.
n
- Performing repairs and maintenance, including engines, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems.
n
- Using diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex problems and recommend solutions.
n
- Following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards to ensure quality outcomes.
n
- Maintaining detailed service and repair records.
n
- Staying updated on the latest automotive technologies and practices.
n
- Communicating clearly with clients regarding repair needs and outcomes.
n
- Upholding safety standards and maintaining an organised workspace.
n
- Collaborating with service advisors, technicians, and the parts department to ensure efficient operations.
n
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development.
n
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians.
n
- Assisting manufacturers with specific diagnostic requirements when necessary.
n

About you
n
n
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
n
- A minimum of three years' post-trade experience.
n
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
n
- Experience diagnosing faults in engines and electrical systems (preferred but not essential).
n
- Experience with any of the listed brands (advantageous but not required).
n
- A proactive and positive approach, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
n
