We have an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious Traffic Controller Team Leader (TC2/TMI2) to join our team at Ironside Traffic Pty Ltd in Melbourne, VIC. As a Traffic Controller, you will be responsible for managing traffic flow and ensuring the safety of workers and the public at various worksites. This is a crucial role that requires attention to detail and a solid commitment to workplace health and safety.

What you'll be doing
n
Controlling and directing traffic at worksites using established traffic management plans (TGS)
n
Ringing the DTP to open up jobs in the morning
n
Placing and maintaining traffic control devices such as signs, barriers, and cones
n
Directing traffic using stop-slow bats and other approved control devices
n
Monitoring and adjusting traffic flow to ensure the safety of workers and the public
n
Communicating effectively with site managers, other traffic controllers, and the public
n
Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents and near misses
n
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with site requirements and safety standards.

What we're looking for

A white card
n
A Drivers Licence
n
Reliable Transportation
n
Proven experience in a similar traffic control role,
preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry
n
Minimum 1-2 years of traffic control experience required
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
n
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to workplace health and safety
n
Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
n
First Aid certification or willingness to complete First Aid training after hiring
n
