Job Description
Technical Sales Representative - Concrete
n
n
- Achieve and exceed sales and contribution targets whilst increasing overall sales and margin contribution
n
- Maintain existing customer base and develop new customers through regular engagement and market coverage
n
- Represent Sika in the marketplace and at industry functions as required
n
n
Customer Relations & Technical Support
n
n
- Provide technical advice, training, and product demonstrations to customers
n
- Foster strong customer relations through professionalism, effective service, and prompt documentation of agreements and discussions
n
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues, reporting matters exceeding $500 to the Sales Manager
n
- Maintain and continuously update knowledge of products and applications
n
- Liaise with appropriate Sika staff regarding technical support, product performance, and delivery
n
- Inspect Sika's plant, equipment, and customer storage areas to ensure proper maintenance and compliance
n
- Record all customer interactions in the CRM system
n
n
Reporting & Administration
n
n
- Provide monthly forecasts and reports to the Sales Manager detailing market activity, customer engagement, complaints, and competitive intelligence
n
- Maintain travel diaries for all work-related expenses with documented purpose and customer visits
n
n
Compliance & Risk Management
n
n
- Comply with all State and Federal Laws, Sika Policies, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements
n
- Maintain confidentiality regarding Sika's products and customer information
n
- Ensure familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and Sika product documentation
n
n

Your Skills and Experience
n
n
- At least 5 years' relevant experience in the Ready Mixed Concrete industry
n
- High level customer relationship and negotiation skills.
n
- University or Trade degree or minimum of 3 years' experience in an Industrial Market Field.
n
- Excellent communication and customer relationship-building skills.
n
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, or SAP.
n
- Knowledge and previous merchandising experience in the concrete industry (desirable).
n
