Senior Mechanical Project Engineerto join Rio Tinto's Sustaining Capital team in Weipa.

This site-based role will see you lead mechanical project packages across a range of infrastructure and operational projects, managing contractors, construction activities, procurement, quality assurance, commissioning and project delivery outcomes. This is an prospect to work with Rio Tinto

Key Responsibilities

n

- Deliver mechanical project scopes from planning through to commissioning
n
- Manage contractors, safety, quality and compliance
n
- Coordinate procurement, materials and site resources
n
- Monitor schedules, costs and project performance
n
- Support testing, commissioning and handover activities
n
- Provide project reporting and stakeholder updates
n

n

About You

n

n
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
n
- 5+ years' project delivery experience within mining, resources, infrastructure or heavy industry
n
- Strong construction,



contractor management and commissioning experience
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Safety-focused with strong commercial and problem-solving abilities
n
