Tide Café is seeking an experienced Waiter to join our front-of-house team in a permanent full-time position.

We are looking for someone with strong hospitality experience who can provide professional, efficient and friendly service in a busy café setting.

The Role

Working as part of our front-of-house team, your responsibilities will include:

- Greeting and seating customers
- Presenting menus and providing advice on food and beverage selections
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately
- Providing professional service
- Serving meals and beverages to customers
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Checking customer satisfaction throughout service
- Processing customer payments
- Communicating effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Responding to customer enquiries and special requests
- Providing information regarding menu items, ingredients and dietary requirements
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of dining and service areas
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Supporting junior front-of-house employees when required
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards

About You





Skill and experience required:

- Previous experience as a waiter or in a similar food and beverage service position
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment
- Strong attention to detail
- A professional and reliable approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required

Relevant hospitality qualifications and demonstrated experience in a busy café or restaurant environment will be highly regarded.

A flexible roster will apply across the café's operating hours, including weekends and public holidays.
